'Learning to drive made easy'
Start to finish school of motoring achieved a Grade 6 level in the old Check test system, which is the highest an ADI can achieve.
On 30th May 2018 our driving instructor took the new Standards test which was introduced in 2014. This is where a driving lesson is conducted in front of the supervising examiner for the area. Lesson Planning, Risk Management, and Teaching and Learning Strategies are assessed. Our Instructor achieved the highest possible grade, which is an A scoring 47/51 (This test is like the schools Ofsted but for driving instructors).
All driving instructors have to take this test at some point in there careers.
You need to be 17 and have a provisional licence. Complete a D1 form from the Post Office and send it to the DVLA.
Apply for your provisional licence up to three months in advance before your 17th birthday and you could be ready for your big day!
Driving lessons can be tailored to suit your requirements ie 1 hour/1 1/2 hour or 2 hour/intensive training. Driving Vehicle Standards agency research shows that the current average is 45 hours of tuition, with an additional 22 hours private practice (some people will need more some will need less).
