'Learning to drive made easy'
At Start to Finish School of Motoring, our instructor has consistently demonstrated the highest standards of professional driver training.
Under the previous check test system, our instructor achieved a Grade 6, the highest possible grade an ADI could attain.
Since the introduction of the Standards Check in 2014, our instructor has again excelled. This assessment involves delivering a real driving lesson under observation, with performance evaluated across Lesson Planning, Risk Management, and Teaching & Learning Strategies. Our instructor achieved a top‑tier Grade A, scoring 47 out of 51, placing them amongst the very best in the industry.
All ADIs are required to undertake the Standards Check regularly throughout their careers, helping ensure continued professional development and consistently high teaching standards.

You need to be 17 and have a provisional licence. Complete a D1 form from the Post Office and send it to the DVLA.
Apply for your provisional licence up to three months in advance before your 17th birthday and you could be ready for your big day!

Driving lessons can be tailored to suit your needs, with 2‑hour sessions recommended for the best progress. However, 1‑hour and 1½‑hour lessons are also available if you prefer. According to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), learners typically require around 45 hours of professional tuition, along with approximately 22 hours of private practice, although this varies from person to person
